Franklin Health & Rehabilitation Center in Rocky Mount, VA is seeking an experienced and engaging Nurse Educator to lead our state-approved Nurse Aide Training Program.

This is an excellent opportunity for an RN who enjoys teaching, mentoring, and helping others begin meaningful careers in healthcare. The Nurse Educator will guide aspiring nurse aides through classroom instruction, skills development, and supervised clinical experiences. You will help prepare students to provide compassionate, high-quality care while building the next generation of caregivers.

What You'll Do

• Lead classroom, skills laboratory, and clinical instruction using the Virginia Board of Nursing-approved nurse aide curriculum

• Educate, mentor, supervise, and evaluate nurse aide students throughout the program

• Develop and maintain lesson plans, attendance records, student evaluations, skills documentation, and other required program records

• Create an engaging, respectful, and inclusive learning environment

• Ensure students demonstrate competency before performing skills in the clinical setting

• Maintain compliance with Virginia Board of Nursing requirements and applicable state and federal regulations

• Collaborate with center leadership and nursing teams to connect classroom learning with high-quality, person-centered care

• Serve as a professional role model and help students successfully transition into healthcare careers

What You Need
• Active, unencumbered RN licensure in Virginia.
• Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience, with at least one (1) year in a long-term care facility preferred
• Completion of a state-approved Train-the-Trainer course or willingness to complete prior to start
• Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills
• Passion for education, mentoring, and clinical excellence
• Familiarity with OBRA requirements and nurse aide training standards

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Instructor

We are seeking a qualified and motivated CNA Instructor to teach classroom, lab, and clinical components of our Nurse Aide Training Program. The ideal candidate is passionate about education and committed to preparing students for state certification and success in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Deliver CNA curriculum and skills instruction

• Supervise and evaluate students in clinical settings

• Administer exams and skills competency testing

• Maintain accurate student records

• Ensure compliance with state training regulations

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered RN license

• Minimum 2 years nursing experience (long-term care preferred)

• CPR/BLS certification

• Teaching experience preferred
